William C. Skaer, DVM

Dr. Bill is a 1969 graduate of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine one month after the birth of his oldest daughter, Christen.  Following veterinary school, he and his wife, Vicki, moved to New Mexico for a stint in the Air Force.  His youngest daughter, Cathy, was born while they were stationed in New Mexico.  Dr, Bill founded Skaer Veterinary Clinic in 1971 and he enjoyed practice for close to 43 years.  You might recognize his name from hours of community service he's put in with various area non-profits and his constant efforts to better the lives of animals of all species.
Dr. Bill retired in 2012, and he is missed at his clinic each and every day.  We will always be grateful to him for his honesty, compassion, and integrity.  He taught us all so many lessons and we can only try to live up to his high veterinary standards.
Dr. Bill and Vicki now get to enjoy traveling, volunteering for the Wichita Art Museum, spending time with their 3 dogs, Addie, Mandy and Radar (a rescue from the Greensburg tornado).
